The Open-S Alliance welcomes four new members to the organization, all well-known companies within machine distribution and excavator attachments industry: Earth Machine Co., Ltd. and Tokumitsu Machinery Co., Ltd. (Japan), and GP Equipment and Niroc Machinebouw B.V. (the Netherlands). With the growing global demand for fully automatic couplers, the initiative to create an open standard, launched in 2020, continues to grow in importance and attract new members.

The quality attachments manufacturer Werk-Brau Company (USA), joins the Open-S Alliance. Their membership is announced just ahead of the CONEXPO/CONAGG exhibition in Las Vegas, where Werk-Brau and several other members will participate as exhibitors. The Open-S Alliance will host a press conference on March 3, during which representatives of the organization will introduce its North American members and provide updates on the latest developments of the standard.

The Open-S Alliance welcomes excavator attachments manufacturer MHA Construction Equipment (China), and earthmoving attachments manufacturer Norm Engineering Pty Ltd (Australia) as members. They are the first companies from China and Australia to join the organization. With this addition to the list of members, the Open-S standard continues its international growth.

A press meeting hosted by the Open-S Alliance will be held at CONEXPO, Las Vegas, on March 3 at 2:30 pm in Steelwrist’s booth, no. F27055 in the Festival Grounds. The press meeting is part of the trade show’s official program for press representatives.

Epiroc (Sweden), Genesis Attachments (USA), and Kanamoto Co. Ltd (Japan) join the Open-S Alliance. The Open-S industry standard for automatic couplers continues to gain supporters, as the benefits for the construction and the demolition industry with a standardized coupler interface are convincing. Excavators can use work tools of different brands that follow the standard, and you avoid being restricted by proprietary solutions. The result is a more efficient and flexible use of machines and attachments. During 2025 the Open-S Alliance has grown significantly with nine new companies joining the organization and now has 23 members globally.

A&D Equipment (USA), Nishio Rent All (Japan) and Zijtveld Grijpers (Netherlands) join the Open-S Alliance, further strengthening the initiative to create an open industry standard for automatic couplers for excavators. With these new members from North America, Asia and Europe, it demonstrates that the idea of an open standard continues to gain ground globally, as more and more manufacturers are seeing the value of offering the customers products with a standardized interface. With the addition of these three companies the Open-S Alliance now has 20 members.

The specialist attachments and screening systems manufacturer Wheatway Solutions Ltd joins the growing Open-S Alliance. The company is based in Gloucester, Great Britain, and is the first British member in Open-S. This highlights the continued expansion of the organization that now consists of 17 members from Europe, North America and Asia.

The initiative to create an open industry standard for automatic couplers for excavators, headed by the independent organization Open-S Alliance, is strengthened as TILTPRO Corp. becomes a member. TILTPRO Corp. is a Korean manufacturer of rotating couplers, tilt couplers and tiltrotators for excavators. More and more manufacturers and companies are seeing the value of offering the customers products with a standardized interface, the benefits and flexibility that it brings to the customers. With the addition of TILTPRO Corp. to the list of members the Open-S standard continues its international growth.

The Open-S Alliance announces a standardized MiC 4.0-compliant electrical connector for use between automatic couplers and work tools, including tiltrotators with electrical connections. This development will enable seamless interchangeability of machine couplers, tiltrotators, and work tools from any Open-S member, eliminating the need for brand-specific connectors. At the same time the alliance grows further with Italian attachment manufacturer Indeco joining as an Associate member.

Open-S Alliance, the independent organization behind the initiative to create an open standard for automatic couplers for excavators, welcomes ACDE Europe AG as a member. ACDE Europe AG specializes in demolition and recycling attachments, providing a range of equipment for both dealers and OEM customers on the European market. With this addition to the list of members, the Open-S standard continues its international growth.

The idea of a common standard for automatic couplers for excavators continues to gain followers internationally.
