The initiative to create an open industry standard for automatic couplers for excavators, headed by the independent organization Open-S Alliance, is strengthened as TILTPRO Corp. becomes a member. TILTPRO Corp. is a Korean manufacturer of rotating couplers, tilt couplers and tiltrotators for excavators. More and more manufacturers and companies are seeing the value of offering the customers products with a standardized interface, the benefits and flexibility that it brings to the customers. With the addition of TILTPRO Corp. to the list of members the Open-S standard continues its international growth.

The Open-S Alliance announces a standardized MiC 4.0-compliant electrical connector for use between automatic couplers and work tools, including tiltrotators with electrical connections. This development will enable seamless interchangeability of machine couplers, tiltrotators, and work tools from any Open-S member, eliminating the need for brand-specific connectors. At the same time the alliance grows further with Italian attachment manufacturer Indeco joining as an Associate member.

Open-S Alliance, the independent organization behind the initiative to create an open standard for automatic couplers for excavators, welcomes ACDE Europe AG as a member. ACDE Europe AG specializes in demolition and recycling attachments, providing a range of equipment for both dealers and OEM customers on the European market. With this addition to the list of members, the Open-S standard continues its international growth.

The idea of a common standard for automatic couplers for excavators continues to gain followers internationally.

Open-S Alliance, the independent organization behind the Open-S standard, receives an INTERMAT Innovation Award for the creation and introduction of a global open industry standard for automatic quick couplers for excavators.

The Open-S Alliance welcomes equipment manufacturer Wacker Neuson as a member of the organization. As a major and technology-leading company they will bring additional strength in the work to establish Open-S, the open industry standard for excavator automatic quick couplers.

The joint initiative to create an open standard for fully automatic quick couplers for excavators is strengthened as Open-S Alliance welcomes the KINSHOFER GROUP as a member of the organization.

The Open-S Alliance wins the Swedish Demolition Award in the “Great Innovation Award for manufacturers/suppliers” category. The Open-S Alliance organisation was awarded at a ceremony at the Swedish Demcon demolition fair in Stockholm on November 24, 2022.

Open-S Alliance welcomes KH-Maskin AB as a new member of the organization. As KH-Maskin is the first machine dealer to join, it is an important milestone for the alliance. “We want to contribute to the development of an open standard for fully automatic quick couplers”, says Martin Lindén CEO of KH-Maskin AB.

Rotar International B. V., a manufacturer of premium hydraulic attachments for excavators in the demolition, recycling and scrap metal industry, becomes a member of the Open-S Alliance.
